Safety for kids came first for this Smithtown pool + patio.
This Long Island customer's largest concern was safety for her children. Our challenge was to meet this goal, and make this multi-level yard flow nicely and design the landscape around the fence. The functional walls that separate the levels of the backyard are used to support the Black Estate fencing that protects the children from the pool area. The simple fencing is functional yet elegant it does not disrupt the view to the pool area. The walls also serve as additional seating when lounging around the pool. Arborvitaes were planted around the back of the pool for privacy, and lush plantings fill the flower beds to soften the hardscape. For entertaining, we built a stone bar under the deck to create a covered area to be used during inclement weather or just for a shady spot to relax.
